Bass Odyssey sound system selector, Squingy gives in to a terminal illness  at a Tampa hospital in Florida. His death has shocked lots of fans and dancehall followers. According to many, Squingy, also known as Kevin Bennett, was though of as a legend in the sound system business, with natural, raw talent. The dancehall community will suffer a major loss because of his death.

Squingy passed away on Tuesday November 24, 2009, at 6:40am. According to sources, his lungs caved in which resulted to the failure of his other organs. Squingy was diagnosed with a terminal illness over five years ago.

In an official release, Bass Odyssey extended thanks and gratitude to all who have supported and helped Squingy during his life as a sound system selector. It is said in the release, that Kevin was a proud, strong, loyal and dedicated member of the Bass Odyssey family who courageously  battled his illness to the final second and lived his life to the fullest.
